I’m an award-winning writer who specializes in pets, especially dogs. My credits include Dog Fancy (where I'm the family life columnist), The Washington Post, Family Circle and the AKC Gazette, among others.

I’ve also written four books: Beagles For Dummies, Senior Dogs For Dummies and Housetraining For Dummies, all published by Wiley, and Your New Dog: An Expert Answers Every Question, published by Capital Books and re-issued by Innova Publishing as Starting Out Right With Your New Dog: A Complete Guide.
